So I started a project a lot of months ago that i finally finished today! My first corset. I found a few websites that helped me write my own pattern.. basically you take all of your measurements draw a box, divide it into 6 columns, figure out how many inches of reduction you want in your waist, divide that by 6 and subtract that from each column measurement....Your not really supposed to understand how that works because i suck at explaining but if anyone has questions feel free to contact me.
Anyway heres the procces...
I found it was easiest to open a paper bag to draw the pattern on, cut them out and then trace them onto fabric.
Then i cut out each panel and sew them together. ( Do this twice )
When you get ready to sew them all together line them up with the numbers like this
1 2 3 4 5 6 6 5 4 3 2 1
I sewed 2 of the same and then it was bad. Anyway Im missing pictures for the next few steps. So heres the outcome.
If any of you have ever tried to put a corset on yourself you will know how hard it is.... and in doing so i realized it can be worn 2 ways.

Sooooo Ive been toying with the idea of getting a new tattoo! The question now is what and where. I want something along the lines of scissors because there such a big part of my life. Between cutting hair, sewing, and crafting I use them everyday. But i didn't just want a boring pair, I wanted them to be vintage. A lot of vintage scissors are really ugly... so I decided to draw my own.
What do you think?
And where should i put it? I was thinking the inside of my forearm.
